"Look Up"-my new painting
Hello everyone, what a gorgeous day..even though it's a bit chilly outside...But hey, I think the temperatures will reach 66 degrees today and I will get to see some of my family from Brazil that will be visiting. I think it'll be a wonderful day. Anyways...my new painting came to be this past few days and as I worked on it, I kept thinking of spring...I know, I know..it's barely winter...but hey, it's never too early to dream of flowers blooming and beautiful critters flying about. But not only that, a Bible verse also came to mind..."Since then you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in Glory"-Collossians 3:1-4 NIV. So "Look Up" seemed like the perfect title for this painting. What perfect hope we have to always keep our eyes on Jesus and never lose sight of what He has in store for us! I hope you have a beautiful day as well!

The Joys of Writing a Personal Note
Hello All,
Sorry I have been MIA for a little while, but it has been a busy season!!! Lots of Craft Shows this Fall and Winter and with that, lots of painting and note card printing. I have been thinking today of my childhood in Brazil. I remember when I was around 10 or 11 I used to collect stationery. Me, my girl cousins and also many of my friends had an extended collection of them and we used to trade them between us. There were all kinds of designs, shapes and sizes. I remember my dad would travel abroad and bring me the neatest ones, which it made it very hard to trade them with my friends! I still have them and they are so very dear to my heart, and a little piece of my childhood. As I grew older and moved from Brazil to the U.S., I used some of those beautiful pieces of paper to write letters to family and friends. I think the personal letter or note you send a loved one is a reminder that we still care and it will always keep us near, even when we are far. Last year, I started my Painted Note Cards business, and the whole idea behind it, was to use and share my Art and Photography in my note cards.
People can have a little piece of my art and at the same time share them with their loved ones. I know that with the Internet, e-mails, etc, note writing has become faster and more reachable but I believe a personal note(the paper kind) will always have a special place in a person's heart.
As Christmas approach us, we can take this time and send that one special note to the people we care and love!

New Paintings and Craft Shows-A Special Thank You to My Customers!
Hello everyone....I am so happy to announce I have three new paintings finished. I have been so inspired lately, and I think it has something to do with this beautiful Fall weather we have been having here in Oklahoma. Also, I have started my Fall Arts & Crafts Shows, and they have been so lovely. I have met some wonderful people. Last weekend, I was at Brushcreek Bazaar and I was blessed with selling 4 original paintings!!! I am so happy my paintings are finding new homes!! And not only that, but I get such a joy to know that the paintings have special meaning to people and that they will adorn their walls or a loved one's home. Because of you my customers and fans, I am always inspired to keep painting, because I know somewhere out there that "one" special painting will belonged to one of you someday. So thank you my fans and supporters!!! I am looking forward to many more crafts shows and to meet many more of you. I leave you with three new paintings. Have a wonderful and blessed day :)

Flying Through
Hello,
I hope everyone is doing great. I've been busy getting ready for my first art show of the fall season. I also finished this new painting a few days ago and I titled it "Flying Through". Sometimes when I start a new painting I have no idea how it's going to be finished and at other times it comes out just as I imagined it. I guess that is the beauty of the creative life. Colors and shapes are born and they develop into something unexpected. I had a little bit of an idea how I wanted this painting to be and I knew purples and blues were the main colors..then I added yellow as the background to make those other colors pop even more. A few days after I finished the painting I started thinking of a title. Flying Through came to mind....I thought of how the bird is flying through leaves, as if he's flying through a season....much like life...seasons come and seasons go...but I guess the viewer can interpret as he or she likes to! :-)
I hope you enjoy the painting, and I also hope to be able to see and meet some of you at my Art Shows! Have a great day!

Rose Inspiration
Beautiful Coral Roses-photo by Juliana Forster-copyright |
This past Spring I participated in an Arts and Crafts Show at the Tulsa Garden Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This place is a beautiful haven of flower delight. They also have a beautiful Rose Garden, where one can walk through paths of many variety of roses and never get tired of seeing all the gorgeous petals. Inspiration is never far away in this beautiful place...
I love how the soft pink petals just cover the ground with its beauty :-) photo by Juliana Forster-copyright |

Hopes of Rain and Cooler Weather
Hopes of Rain and Cooler Weather
Here we are talking about Fall again. But unfortunately we are having triple digit temperatures here in Oklahoma and a drought as well. It is really sad for so many reasons, one of them being that it is affecting crops and livestock not only here but in other states as well. Because Fall has been in my mind lately I have also been painting Fall subjects. Fall brings cooler weather and hope of rain showers as well. It sure gives us something to look forward to doesn't it? Another reason why I love Fall is because of its change in weather and scenery. We don't have much of a change in seasons in Brazil where I grew up. We have mostly Summer, and the occasional cool days in Winter, but not anything drastic. It is a beautiful country though, with its gorgeous flora and fauna. But anyways...I thought I'd share my new Fall Painting with you today and a photo I took last year of a pretty bird enjoying the rain. I hope you enjoy and let's keep hoping and praying for rain and cooler weather too! Thanks for stopping by, I'd love to hear from you :-)
